Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement

Thank you for visiting the Ocitl website. This Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement explains how Ocitl ("we," "us," or "our") collects, protects, shares, and uses your information across our technology platforms, including but not limited to our company websites, webpages, sponsored social media platforms, and mobile sites (the "Site").

By using the Site, you agree to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement, our Terms of Use, and consent to the practices described.

Information Collected

You can visit and browse the Site without providing any personally identifiable information. However, this may limit your ability to receive certain features, products, or services from us.

Information You Provide

If you choose to register with us, we will ask for your first name, last name, email address, and password. Depending on your activities on the Site, we may also collect additional Personal Information (information that can be used to personally identify you), such as your phone number, home address, demographic information (such as zip code), age, or payment information (such as account or credit card number) when you make a purchase. The types of Personal Information we collect may vary depending on your use of the Site features and how you access the Site. If you register your information on the Site, enter a promotion, or opt-in to receive emails or other offers or communications, we collect and store the information you provide. In some cases, we may also ask you to provide additional information, such as demographic information like gender, age, or information about your product preferences and interests. You can visit, use, and order from the Site without providing this additional information, but not providing this information may alter your experience on the Site.

Information We Collect Automatically

Site Usage Information: Ocitl and its third-party service providers may also use various technologies to passively or automatically collect information about how the Site is visited and used ("Usage Information"), including your browser type, device type, operating system, application version, the pages served to you, the length of your visit, previous page views, and your use of features or applications on the Site. These statistics help us understand what content is of interest and relevance to Site users so that we can better tailor our content.

Device Identifiers: Ocitl also automatically collects the IP address or other unique identifier information ("Device Identifier") of the computer, technology, or other device (collectively, "Device") you use to access the Site. A device identifier is a number automatically assigned to your device when you visit a website or its servers, and our computers use it to recognize your device. We may use device identifiers for purposes such as administering the website, helping diagnose server problems, analyzing trends, tracking users' web browsing history, helping to recognize you and your shopping cart, and gathering broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use "cookies," which are data files placed on your device when you visit the website, to facilitate navigation and personalize your experience, including tailored advertising. Cookies may also be used to connect you to social networking sites such as Facebook and, if you choose, to enable interaction between your activities on those sites. For security purposes, we or our vendors may place cookies or similar files on your device to facilitate navigation and personalize your experience on our website (for example, by allowing us to select ads or offers most likely to appeal to you based on your interests, preferences, location, or demographic information).

If you prefer not to accept cookies, you can change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the choice whether to accept it, or you can set your browser to automatically not accept any cookies.

Please note that if you disable cookies, some features and services on our website may not function properly because we may not be able to recognize you and associate you with your account.

Under the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486), we are obligated to inform you that our website currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals. However, we remain committed to protecting the privacy of your personal data and providing you with choices and controls wherever reasonably practicable.

Pixel Tags or Web Beacons: We also use web beacons or pixel tags, which are transparent graphic images placed on a web page or in an email to indicate that a page or email has been viewed or to instruct your browser to retrieve content from another server. These tags may provide us with confirmation when you open an email we send.

Information from Third Parties

If you opt in to receive communications from us, we may obtain information about you from third parties that display our products or promotions. You may also choose to opt in to third-party applications or social media sites and allow us to collect (or allow third parties to share) your information, including usage information and personal information. If your settings on the third-party site are public or allow us to view your information, we may also collect and store information from those third-party sites, including any personal information you have made public.

We may also obtain information about you from third-party external records, such as marketing-related information or demographic information, to enhance our ability to tailor content, products, and services we believe may be of interest to you. We may supplement information we collect about you through the Site with information from third parties to enhance our ability to serve you, tailor content to you, and/or offer you opportunities to purchase products or services we believe may be of interest to you. If we combine such data with information we collect through the Site, such information will be subject to this Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement unless we disclose otherwise.

In addition to the information listed in this Privacy Policy, we may share non-personal information, such as aggregated user statistics, demographic information, and usage information, with third parties. We may also share your information in the manner disclosed when you provide it, as described in this Privacy Policy and Cookie Statement, and in the following circumstances:

Third Parties Performing Services on Our Behalf: We may share your personal information with third parties that perform functions on our behalf (or on behalf of our partners), such as service providers that host or operate our websites, analyze data, process transactions and payments, fulfill orders, or provide customer service; advertisers; sponsors; or other third parties that participate in or administer our promotions, contests, sweepstakes, surveys, or provide marketing or promotional assistance. We may also use or share your personal information with our subsidiaries, affiliates, sponsors, partners, advertisers, or other third parties to provide you with product information, promotions, and other offers, to help maintain and operate the websites, or for other reasons related to our business operations, including, but not limited to, fulfilling purchases, performing promotional offers, and administering contests. Your Consent to Sharing Your Personal Information: When visiting the Ocitl website, you may choose to receive information and/or marketing offers from third parties that are not affiliated with us and that do not provide specific services to us. These third parties include third-party websites and marketing agencies, as well as social networking sites like Facebook. If you consent to sharing your personal information with a third party that does not have access to your information under the terms of this Policy, your personal information will be disclosed to that third party, and you will be subject to that third party's privacy policy and business practices.

If you connect your Facebook account to your Ocitl account, we will provide and/or share your Facebook username and Facebook profile picture with other Ocitl users. Users may be able to view your profile and shopping activity on the Ocitl website, and your activity may be automatically shared with your Facebook friends and your Facebook friends on the Ocitl website. When you choose to share your activity on Facebook, we will disclose your personal information. Information shared to Facebook will be associated with the Facebook account you are logged into. Facebook's use of such information and any information it collects from your use of or on its services is governed by Facebook's Privacy Policy, and our use of that information is also governed by that Privacy Policy. You understand and agree that you will need to consult the privacy policies of both companies to modify or delete personal information you have provided to Facebook. If you do not want Facebook to use your data in this way, you should not consent to sharing your shopping activity to Facebook and/or adjust your settings to disable such sharing. You understand that information no longer shared on Facebook may continue to be publicly available for other uses on the Site.

Business Transfers: We may share your personal information with other entities within the Ocitl-controlled family of companies and our affiliated companies. These sharings are primarily for internal reasons (primarily for business and operational purposes), but may also be based on our belief that you may be interested in content or products and services on our other websites. As our business continues to develop, we may sell or buy assets. If another entity acquires us or our assets, or assets related to the Site, personal information, usage information, and any other information we have collected about Site users may be disclosed to that entity as one of the transferred assets. In addition, if we institute or are subject to any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding, all such information may be considered an asset of ours and may be sold or transferred to third parties as a result of such proceeding.

Legal Disclosures: Ocitl may transfer and disclose information (including your personal information, usage information, and device identifiers (including IP addresses)) to third parties to comply with legal obligations; when we believe in good faith that the law requires it; to verify or enforce our Terms of Use or other applicable policies; to respond to emergencies; or to otherwise protect the rights, property, safety, or security of third parties, our website visitors, or the public.

Ocitl licenses technology to serve advertisements on its own websites and their content as they are served online. In addition, Ocitl may use third-party network advertisers to serve ads and third-party analytics providers to evaluate and provide us with information about website usage and content viewing. We do not share personal information with these third parties, but ad network providers, advertisers, sponsors, and/or analytics providers may set and access their own cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies on your device, and they may otherwise collect or access information about you, including usage information. We and our network advertisers may use your visits to our website and other websites to serve ads for products and services that may be of interest to you.
